About Us

Since 2014, 40dBm has been providing technological support to the Orkney archipelago, from South Walls to North Ronaldsay and everywhere in between. Most of our work is carried out as IsleSat, providing domestic customers with a choice of terrestrial aerials, satellite dishes, Freeview and Freesat boxes, 4G installations and satellite broadband. Other services in the KW15-17 postcodes include maintenance and repair work for several national companies.

The team

With 9 years’ service in REME, followed by 23 years' experience working in telecommunications and customer support, Graeme understands the importance of turning up on time and accomplishing the mission.


Within Orkney, some weather-related flexibility is an obvious necessity but, for example, if an isles boat or a peedie plane is cancelled, then rest assured that we will re-book your appointment as soon as possible.

Work/life balance

When not clambering up and down ladders, Graeme is an enthusiastic wildlife watcher and a member of the Orkney Field Club. However, please do not, under any circumstances, ask him about dragonflies and damselflies or, honestly, you'll be there a while.
